Summer's First Burn

After living for over a year in India, where I spent a large chunk of every single day out in the sun, and not getting even one shade tanner, redder, or frecklier, I've already gotten my first sunburn of 2008. One picnic lunch in the backyard and my shoulders are fried! Is it a small irony or did Bangalore pollution just keep the sun off of me?
